A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account that donors can use to support charitable organizations. Donors can give cash, securities, or other assets to a DAF and qualify for a charitable contribution income tax deduction. DAF assets are invested for growth by the sponsoring organization (for example, Fidelity Charitable or Schwab Charitable) potentially providing for more generous support to charities. Donors can then recommend grants at any time from the DAF to any qualified 501(c)3 public charity, such as Vassar College. If you have a DAF, please consider recommending a grant to Vassar.
